Athletic Training Students who have completed the requirements for graduation from the Alma College AT Program upon satisfactorily meeting the academic and clinical standards set forth by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) are eligible to challenge the national certification exam for ATs, known as the Board of Certification (BOC) Exam.
Past Three Years
In 2011, 1 graduate of the Alma College AT Program was a BOC exam candidate and passed on the first attempt.
In 2012, 4 graduates of the Alma College AT Program were BOC exam candidates, with 3 passing on the first attempt. The other candidate passed on a subsequent attempt.
In 2013, 5 graduates of the Alma College AT Program were BOC exam candidates, with 4 passing on the first attempt.
Three Year Aggregate Data
From 2011–2013, 8 of 10 graduates (80%) of the Alma College AT program passed the BOC exam on the first attempt, with one of the remaining two passing on a subsequent attempt (total of 90%). Alma College AT program students continue to do well on the BOC examination as evidenced by this data.
