Major: Foreign Service / Minor: Spanish
*Elected Treasurer Class of 2007
*Four-year member of the Championship        Alma College Model UN Team
*Spent Fall term 2005 in New York City on an internship at the United Nations where I worked on Middle East Affairs and for the Veselka Orphanage in Ukraine.

* Biology major with an emphasis in animal science
* Spent summer 2006 in a marsh on Beaver Island studying the Midland Painted Turtle, used radio-telemetry to track home ranges, movements and core body temeratures.
* Member of the rockin acappella group "Pretty in Plaid"
* Something I didn't know about College --  never enough sleep!
* One of my favorite Alma Choir memories is when we sang at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC.

* Sociology and Anthropology Major
* I am a piper and I spent four years bagging groceries at Meijer in order to purchase my first set of bagpipes.
* The College hired me as a resident computer consultant for Bruske Hall.
*  I played sousaphone/tuba for 10 years

* I spent two weeks on top of a mountain in Colorado studying high altitude physiology
* As president of the Alma Leadership Alliance, I have to lead a bunch of leaders!
* "I see dead people" -- literally in the College's cadaver lab, and I've seen the Loch Ness Monster!
* I'm headed to grad school in North Carolina in Fall '07

Alma College’s partnership with the Pine River Superfund Citizen Task Force, an EPA-sanctioned Community Advisory Group (CAG), was selected as a finalist for Michigan’s 2007 Carter Partnership Award. The Task Force is recognized as one of the most influential and active CAGs nationally and as having the largest membership of any CAG in the United States.

Dr. Raymond Riley, professor of music at Alma College since 1988, has enjoyed a long and multi-faceted musical career.

Appearing in numerous venues as a recitalist, lecturer, clinician and soloist throughout the Midwest, he believes his piano performance background has been invaluable in supporting his efforts to combine art and science and to foster creativity with technology.
