What can I study?

Are you just staring to learn Spanish, but are looking for something more intense? Traveling to Argentina through AHA International’s Rosario program might be just what you are looking for. The program is great if you are just beginning to study Spanish and are interested in experiencing the intriguing Argentine culture.

AHA Rosario emphasizes through experience, so your classes will often take cultural excursions to places such as Buenos Aires, Patagonia, and the Iguazu Falls. Classes are offered in a variety of subjects, including Spanish language, Argentine culture, literature, human rights, and business.

Why Rosario?

The AHA Rosario Center located in the center of Rosario, home to 1.2 million people and located to the northeast of Buenos Aires. Rosario has a number of shops, theaters and museums for you to explore during the semester. Take advantage of excursions to nearby cities to truly taste a variety of what Argentina has to offer.

What are the requirements?

  • 2.50 GPA
  • One term of college level Spanish and two years of high school Spanish
  • No College level Spanish is required for Summer Programs

Where will I live?

You will get the chance to truly experience Argentinean culture by living with a host family located within an easy commuting distance to classes. During the semester, you are provided with three meals per day, which is included in the program fee.

You are responsible for:

Scholarships are available through AHA International.

Semester Programs: You will pay published Alma College tuition, fees, room and board.

Summer Programs: You will pay the tuition, room, board, academic fees and a $500 administrative fee.

How do I sign up?

To begin the application process, visit the Academic and Career Planning Office (basement of the library). All applications are submitted to each program through the ACP Office on the student’s behalf.

 

Students at Alma College can get involved in any of nearly 75 campus organizations, including fraternities and sororities, student government, academic honorary societies, campus media, intramural sports, the performing arts and worship groups.
