At The Philadelphia Center, you will have the opportunity to complete a semester-long internship unique to your interests. The center connects you with one of more than 800 possible intern locations. Past placements have included:

Also, learn to live independently in one of the nations most historical and thriving cities and take courses.

Why Philadelphia?

A city of 1.5 million people, Philadelphia is known for its sports teams, its Philly cheese steaks and its diverse neighborhoods. A backdrop to numerous events in American history, you’ll also find the liberty bell and independence hall located in the old city.

  • 2.50 GPA

Where will I live?

During Orientation week, you are housed in a hotel one block from the Philadelphia center. After becoming more acquainted with the city, the Philadelphia Center’s housing process will aide you in the process of learning to live independently and subleasing an apartment.

How much will it cost?

Semester Programs: You will pay published Alma College tuition and fees. Since room and board are not provided, you will not be charged for Alma College room and board.

Summer Programs: You will pay the tuition, room, board, academic fees and a $500 administrative fee.

How do I get started?

To begin the application process, visit the Academic and Career Planning Office (basement of the library). All applications are submitted to each program through the ACP Office on the student’s behalf.

 

Alma College boasts a 13-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio, a liberal arts approach to undergraduate education, 28 academic majors, self-designed programs of emphasis, pre-professional programs in law and medicine, and an intensive Spring Term that provides opportunities for innovative courses, travel classes, research and internships.
