
What can I do?
At the Chicago Center, you can explore your passions and build your resume by interning in areas like anthropology, communications, business, health services, language training, visual and performing arts and many other fields! The Chicago Center gives you the opportunity to live independently in a city that is filled with culture and diversity. In addition, you’ll take two seminars studying the issues of race, class, culture and art.

Where will I live?
You will live in a furnished apartment located in one of Chicago’s most historical districts, Hyde Park. A food account is set up for you at a local supermarket. Housing and meals are included in the Program Fee.
How much will it cost?
Your semester tuition at Alma College covers Chicago Center tuition. The Chicago Center’s comprehensive semester Program Fee includes your apartment rent, utilities, food, phone, Internet, books, train and bus passes, cultural events and textbooks. There is an out-of-pocket city activity fee of $300.
Semester Programs: You will pay published Alma College tuition, fees, room and board.
Summer Programs: You will pay the tuition, room, board, academic fees and a $500 administrative fee.

How do I get started?
To begin the application process, visit the Academic and Career Planning Office (basement of the library). All applications are submitted to each program through the ACP Office on the student’s behalf.
