P-GLOBAL Leadership

P-Global—Act on Your Passion

Jon Haley '13

For some students, international travel sparks a desire for something more. More than just an interest in travel, more than an interest in a particular country. In some, it ignites a passion. The P-Global experience gives students a chance to act on that passion while developing leadership skills.

P-Global offers Alma students a scholarship to travel anywhere in the world and complete a project of their own design, thanks to a generous gift of over $2 million from alumni Lee and Sally Posey.

Projects include:

  • Non-profit internships
  • Independent research projects
  • Seminars
  • Conferences
  • Work related to global issues

Alma students have completed projects in topics ranging from teaching to public policy, in places from the Philippines to South Africa.

P-Global also helps support Alma’s award-winning Model UN team.

Alma College is one of the first undergraduate colleges in the United States to belong to the International Criminal Court Student Network (ICCSN). Created in 2006 by students at the London School of Economics, the ICCSN aims to promote the work of the ICC and increase knowledge of international criminal law. Alma joins Duke University School of Law, the University of Cambridge and other institutions in a global community that connects students who share an interest in the ICC.
