Wilcox Medical Center

Photo of the Wilcox Medical CenterOriginally constructed in 1969 for extra office space, the building became the medical center in 1974.

The west wing of the building serves as a medical and counseling center, which students refer to as the “Med Shed.” The east wing serves as the Mailing and Copy Center.

The Wilcox Medical Center is named for Dr. and Mrs. Rex A. Wilcox, whose gift made possible the renovation of the west wing into the medical center.

In 2007, the College entered a partnership with Gratiot Medical Center to manage and provide primary and preventative health care services to Alma students, faculty and guests. Gratiot Medical Center is an affiliate of Mid-Michigan Health, a regional provider with four hospitals and numerous clinics in Mid-Michigan.
