Alma offers a music class in the Scottish arts, a Scottish arts scholarship and a study abroad program with the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.

The College also features a marching band clad in kilts, a Scottish dance troupe, a pipe band and even its own official tartan!

Each year, the College hosts the Alma Highland Festival, which features traditional Scottish revelry and games.

Every other year the College also hosts the Robert Burns dinner, which celebrates the life of Scotland’s best known poet.

We are the Scots!

For five consecutive years, the Corporation for National and Community Service has named Alma College to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for engaging students, faculty and staff in meaningful service. More than 85 percent of Alma's 2011 graduating class participated in academic service learning during their time at Alma College.
