Places to Eat

There are three different dining and food facilities on campus to meet the needs of the Alma College community. With this variety, you're sure to find something you'll like. Below, you can view a description of each facility, along with its hours of operation, location, and types of food offered.


Hamilton Commons

This main eatery on campus. The Crossroads' Café includes a grill and pizza station, soup & salad bar, deli station, Wok sauté station, and a three squares station along with ice cream and desserts.

Hours

Monday — Friday 7:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday 10:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

 

Van Dusen Express — Van Dusen Commons

For a lunchtime alternative to Hamilton Commons try Van Dusen Express. Build your own sub at the deli or create your own pasta dish or stir-fry at the sauté station. Come try some of our freshly baked cookies.

Monday — Friday Noon – 1:00 PM

 

Joe's Place

Featuring Starbucks coffee, coffee drinks, and Freshens smoothies. We also offer pizza, sandwiches, burgers, salads, grocery items, health & beauty items, school supplies, homemade baked goods, yogurt, milk, juices and much more.

Meal advantage at Joe's is set up for those students who can not make it during the usual meal times. The student can use their meal plan to enjoy a freshly prepared meal.

Monday — Friday 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Grill closed from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday 1:00–3:00 p.m. & 8:00 – 11:00 p.m.
Sunday 1:00–3:00 p.m. & 6:30 – 11:00 p.m.

Meal Advantage Hours

Monday — Friday Lunch 1:45–3:30 p.m.
Dinner (Mon.–Thurs.) 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Dinner (Fri) 6:30–7:30 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday Lunch 1:00–2:00 p.m.

Late Nite Meal

Monday — Thursday 9:30–10:30 p.m.
