The Sodexo Team welcomes all new and returning students to Alma College. We understand that student schedule’s are busy and varied. That’s why we have created a menu schedule and dining options at three locations.

Dining Options

1. Hamilton Commons:
The main dining room, offering the grill and pizza station, soup and salad bar, deli station, International Station, and three squares station along with ice cream and desserts.

New this year are Meals to Go! and Continuous Dining.

If you do not have time to sit down and eat, you may come to Hamilton Commons and our new Grab and Go cooler.

Continuous Dining
Hamilton Commons is now open:


  • 7:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Monday — Friday
  • 10:30 a.m.–6:00 pm Saturday and Sunday
  • 2. Van Dusen:
    Lunch with deli and salad bar, sauté station and dessert bar.

    3. Joe’s Place
    Coffee drinks and Freshen Smoothies, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, salads, grocery items and home baked goods.

    We also offer catering for your student events, with selections ranging from informal to formal meetings, breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

    Thirty-four percent of Alma students participate in intercollegiate athletics. Alma College competes at the NCAA Division III level as a member of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, the oldest existing athletic conference in the nation.

    Terra’s Spring Term experience in China is a tremendous help understanding the relationship the U.S. has with one of its largest trading partners. The business administration major from Monroe has seen first hand the economic effects on southeast Michigan of low-cost imports and Chinese monetary policies.
