There are three different dining and food facilities on campus to meet the needs of the Alma College community. With this variety, you're sure to find something you'll love. Below, you can view a description of each facility, along with its hours of operation, location, and types of food offered.


CrossRoad's Cafe - Hamilton Commons

This main eatery on campus is open for three different meals at designated times. The Crossroads' Cafe includes a grill and pizza station, soup & salad bar, deli station, vegetarian saute station, and a three squares station along with ice cream and desserts.

Van Dusen Express - Van Dusen Commons

For a lunchtime alternative to Hamilton Commons try Van Dusen Express. Build your own sub at the deli; create your own pasta dish or stir-fry at the saute station. Come try some of our freshly baked cookies.

Joe's Snack Bar

Featuring Starbucks coffee, coffee drinks, and Freshens smoothies; made to order fruit and protein frozen drinks. We also offer Italian style pizza, sandwiches, burgers, salads, grocery items, health & beauty items, school supplies, homemade baked goods, yogurt, milk, juices and much more.

We also feature the Express (Meal Advantage), which is set up for those students who can not make it during the usual meal times. Students can use their meal plan to enjoy a freshly prepared meal. See the hours below.

Alma College provides a network of opportunities for students to become responsible leaders, including the Robert D. Swanson Responsible Leadership Speaker Series and the Leadership Fellows’ Program. The 2006 class of Leadership Fellows participated in an International Leadership Institute at Wroxton College in England in August 2007.
