Alma Hosts Statewide Print Show
The Flora Kirsch Beck Gallery in the Clack Art Center at Alma College hosts the 29th annual Alma College Statewide Print Competition show from Monday, Nov. 9 through Wednesday, Dec. 9. Admission is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. A reception, juror’s talk and awards ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 in the gallery.
Veterans Day Speaker: Sgt. Matt Eversmann
Sgt. Matt Eversmann presents a Veterans Day speech at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 in the Dunning Memorial Chapel. Eversmann, an American military hero, was immortalized in the epic film, “Black Hawk Down.” Admission is free and open to the public. Read more.
Chapel Hosts Youth Concert
The Alma College Chapel invites youth and young adults to a concert by the faith-based band Attaboy at 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 in the Chapel. Admission is free and open to the public.
Dancers Perform Fall Concert
The Alma College Dance Company presents its annual fall concert featuring modern, jazz, lyrical, avant-garde and ballet at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15 in the Remick Heritage Center. Theatrical Production Highlights Hunger
Students in Joanne Gilbert’s Performing Advocacy class present “An Invisible Ache: Hunger in Gratiot County” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17 in Jones Auditorium. The theatrical performance is based on interviews of participants at the Community Café. Admission is free and open to the public.
