High School Leadership Institute
The Dow Chemical Company High School Leadership Institute at Alma
College is open to current juniors from Michigan high schools (class of
2009). The residential Institute provides an intensive immersion into
the study and practice of leadership through workshops, case analysis
and experiential activities. This year’s Institute takes place July

Percussion Ensemble Performs Music on the Mall
The Alma College Percussion Ensemble performs at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July
23 at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant as part of the
Music on the Mall series. The concert takes place on the lawn area in
front of Warriner Hall on the CMU campus. The concert will be broadcast
live on WCZY-104.3.
Evening in the Park Series Includes Alma Star Gazing
Gratiot County’s Evening in the Park 2008 summer series includes
performances and presentations at 7 p.m. Tuesdays. The series concludes
at dusk Aug. 12 with “Starry Starry Night” with a look at the night sky
from the Alma College campus. In case of rain, the event will be held
