Professional Activities

Scott Messing, professor of music, is the author of "Program Notes: Alma Symphony Orchestra." He also presented "Performance and Politics during the Schubert Centenary of 1897" to the Modern Austrian Literature and Culture Association at the University of Washington.

Elizabeth Cameron, professor of business administration, presented "The McDonald's Hoax: The Necessity of Management Policies and Training to Avoid Liability—Hold the Automotated Messages Please” to the MBAA International, Chicago, Ill.  April 3, 2008. She also is the recipient of a Mentor Plus Course Development Grant.

Thomas Ealey, associate professor of business administration, presented "HR - Risk, Updates, Tune-ups" to the American College of Healthcare Administrators, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Julie Arnold, professor of modern languages/French, presented “The Theme of Recycling in Krzysztof Kieslowski’s Blue” at The 33rd Annual Conference on Film and Literature, Florida State University, February 2008.

Robert Vivian, associate professor of English, is the author of “This Is an Essay About Postmodernism,” which will appear in HECE, a Turkish literary journal in Ankara, this spring.

Cameron Reed, professor of physics/astronomy, is the author of the following book reviews, articles and presentations:

Terra’s Spring Term experience in China is a tremendous help understanding the relationship the U.S. has with one of its largest trading partners. The business administration major from Monroe has seen first hand the economic effects on southeast Michigan of low-cost imports and Chinese monetary policies.
