Public Relations

The Marketing and Public Relations Office promotes and raises public awareness of Alma College. Office staff members are engaged in two-way, internal and external communication with a variety of audiences, telling the College's story through publications, the news media, World Wide Web and other outlets. The office provides a variety of communication services to College departments, including communication planning, publication development, marketing and promotion, photo services, Web site consultation and media relations.

The Marketing and Public Relations Office works with the Integrative Marketing Team (IMT) to identify and evaluate integrative marketing initiatives. The IMT includes faculty and staff representatives from across campus. The group meets periodically throughout the year.

News Center

The News Center Web site highlights the latest news and events at Alma College. Newsmakers, media tips and faculty experts also are identified.

Publication Services

Publication professionals design and produce brochures, posters and other printed materials for the College's various constituents.

The Pinecone

The Pinecone is the online newsletter for Alma College employees. It is published every other week during the academic year and periodically during the summer. Story ideas and news items from employees are encouraged.

Accents

Accents is the alumni magazine for Alma College, published three times per year. Each issue includes campus news updates and alumni profiles and news notes.

Look at the Print Ad

A full-page Alma College print ad (PDF, 240 Kb) ran in the most recent issues of Time, Sports Illustrated, Newsweek and U.S. News in selected Michigan markets, including metro Detroit, metro Grand Rapids, and Lansing-Alma.
