Audiences
Prospective Students And Their Parents
- The Marketing and Public Relations Office produces approximately 60 publications a year to support the Admissions Office in its recruiting efforts. Most of the publications are all-color, high quality pieces reflecting education and student life at Alma College. They include a viewbook, student life and financial aid guides, program brochures, and a wide variety of postcards, applications and other small pieces that admissions representative take on the road.
- Advertising in newspapers and magazines and on radio and television also is used to communicate with prospective students and their parents.
- Web pages are designed to be intriguing to prospective students and give them the information they need in choosing to enroll at Alma College. Students may apply to Alma College via an online application form.
- News media contacts, hometown releases and every story produced about Alma College successes communicate to prospective students and their parents and build its reputation as a high-quality liberal arts college.
- The Academic Catalog is produced every other year by the Marketing and Public Relations Office and inserts the off year.
Alumni, Donors And Friends
- Three issues of the alumni magazine Accents are mailed to alumni, donors, friends, faculty and staff. The annual fall issue includes an exhaustive list of names of individuals and organizations that have contributed to the College.
- Brochures, flyers and e-mail announcements for Homecoming, annual giving campaigns and other College activities and initiatives are produced each year.
- Web pages, news media contacts and advertising also reach these audiences and help keep them informed about the College.
Faculty And Staff And Board Of Trustees
- The Pinecone online newsletter is produced biweekly and includes information of interest to faculty and staff, including professional accomplishments.
- The yearly Board of Trustees booklet contains photos and biographical information about each trustee.
- Programs and posters for Honors Day, commencement, convocations and other events provide information campus-wide.
- Brochures for academic departments help promote their programs to prospective students and the public.
News Media And General Public
- The news media editor, who also is campus photographer, oversees a staff of students who produce news releases, hometown releases, photos and tips on a daily basis. News releases are mailed, sent via e-mail or faxed to local, regional and national newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations and posted on the Web.
- The Marketing and Public Relations Office produces posters, programs and advertising for all athletic events and performances in the Remick Heritage Center.
