Emergency Notification

Alma College has implemented an emergency notification system called Connect-ED® by The NTI Group Inc.

As part of this service, the College has the ability to reach all students, faculty and staff with immediate, time-sensitive information during a campus emergency. During critical situations, Alma College officials can use the system to broadcast pertinent information and provide details on appropriate responses. In all, the multi-modal service helps College officials simultaneously reach out to students, faculty and staff via:

  • Voice messages to home, work, and cell phones
  • Text messages to cell phones, PDAs and other text-based devices
  • Written messages to e-mail accounts
  • Messages to TTY/TDD receiving devices for the hearing impaired

More than a third of all Alma students take part in at least one performance each year. The College offers majors in theatre, dance and music, but students of all majors may join in productions. The Remick Heritage Center for the Performing Arts is the region's premiere performing arts facility.
