Work Orders

Routine:

  • Students please contact your RA to report routine maintenance or housekeeping problems.
  • Faculty and Staff please use the Alma College online work order system to submit requests for plumbing, heating, electrical,  air conditioning, and carpentry repairs or painting  projects for your area.
  • Faculty and Staff please send an e-mail to specialservices@alma.edu for deliveries, pick-ups, setups*, light bulb replacement, housekeeping, or grounds.
  • Please allow at least 7 days before calling x7250 to check on the status of a work order that you have submitted.
  • URGENT concerns, i.e. bathroom floor is flooded, large spills, sink or toilet overflowing, broken window, no heat, etc.  please call x7250 or x7162 Mon.- Fri. and after hours, on weekends, and holidays, please call security at x7777.

Setups:*

  • Please submit your request to specialservices@alma.edu or in writing (attach setup design) to the Physical Plant. Please be very specific as to the number of chairs, tables, podiums, microphones etc. Also, the date and time that the setup needs to be completed is essential and when teardown can take place.
  • Please submit 5 working days prior to the event to assure support.
  • Always include a budget number as setups are considered chargable services.

In the more than 100 years since its founding, Alma has stayed true to its roots by keeping its Scottish heritage alive. Today, Alma features a marching band clad in Kilts, a Scottish dance troupe, student pipers and its own tartan. Each year, the College hosts the Alma Highland Festival and Games, which feature traditional Scottish games and revelry.
