Biology Sabbatical Replacement

The Biology Department at Alma College invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure track, sabbatical replacement position in Biology, with the ability to teach in Environmental Science.  The Biology Department and Environmental Studies Program seek an individual with demonstrated skills in, and commitment to, undergraduate teaching.  Teaching responsibilities will include: teaching lecture courses with labs in microbiology and introductory environmental science for fall term, and a lecture and lab course in introductory botany winter term.  There may be an opportunity for a topics course taught in the candidate's area of specialty.  For more information visit our department website at: www.alma.edu/academics/biology.

Helping children rehabilitate from illness is a career for the truly compassionate. With her enthusiasm for helping others, Alma College alumna Susan Kattula fits the bill.

After graduating from Alma in 2003, Kattula, who studied psychology and exercise and health science, attended Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., where she earned a master’s degree in occupational therapy.

She worked for a pediatric clinic in Chicago before moving back to St. Louis to accept a position at a specialty pediatric hospital, where she primarily sees outpatient and day treatment children.
