Competitive Cheer Coach

Position Summary: The applicant is responsible for the entire Intercollegiate Competitive Cheer/Sideline Cheer and Dance program, including but not limited to: coaching, recruiting qualified student athletes, fund raising, camps, developing schedules, budget management, building community support for the program and monitoring academic progress of student athletes. Also serves as an Instructor for Exercise and Health Studies classes.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level required or demonstrated successful Head Coaching experience on the high school level as well as the educational background and expertise to teach college-level courses. Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent written and oral skills, knowledge of computer applications, organizational abilities, event planning and camps, fund raising, financial management and recruiting ability and demonstrated commitment or experience working with diverse populations. Must be able to work weekends/evenings and travel.

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Wright Hall, Alma’s “green” residence hall, is a modern, 60-bed apartment-style hall that features a number of environmentally friendly features, including geothermal heating and cooling, recycled-content ceiling tiles and carpeting, energy-efficient windows, rooftop solar heating panels, energy-efficient showers and washing machines, and a computerized energy monitoring system.
