Position Openings

Head Coach

Applications are now being accepted for a junior varsity head volleyball coach for the 2008 season, which runs from August through November. This individual will work with the varsity head coach in running a program of 25-30 student-athletes.

Responsibilities

  • Leading junior varsity practices
  • Attending and contributing to varsity practices
  • Helping in recruiting student-athletes
  • Assisting with travel arrangements
  • Video Assistance
  • Supervising weightlifting and conditioning workouts
  • Traveling to junior varsity-only competitions
  • Assist with keeping stats during varsity matches
  • Help with game day responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in the sport of volleyball
  • Committed to coaching

Preferred Qualifications

  • College volleyball playing experience
  • Coaching background or desire to get into coaching

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to toss and hit balls during drills

A Truman Scholarship finalist and Center for Responsible Leadership Fellow, Drew has traveled to South Africa and China studying the HIV/AIDS crisis. The Bay City native intends to use his French minor and POE in International Health to improve AIDS care in Africa, hopefully as a physician with a global public health organization.
