Assistant Professor of Modern Language - Spanish

The Alma College Modern Language Department invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2008.  This position is for a generalist with emphasis on Latin America to teach Spanish courses at all levels.  Preference will be given to qualified candidates with Ph.D. in hand, who can demonstrate prior teaching experience and who have demonstrated evidence of scholarship.  Standard teaching load is six courses in a 4-4-1 academic calendar.  Candidates must be committed to undergraduate liberal arts education, to a scholarly agenda, and to institutional service.
