Head Coach of Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving
Responsibilities: Organize and administer all aspects of a NCAA Division III men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs.
- Recruit academically qualified student-athletes
- Schedule practices, meets, tournaments
- Ensure compliance with institutional and NCAA rules
- Understand and enforce Intercollegiate Athletics Department rules and regulations.
- Participate in student development initiatives of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department;
- Hire and supervise assistant coaching staff;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Teaching responsibilities in the core curriculum of the physical education minor and activity program may be a possibility.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and three years coaching and teaching experience, college preferred. WSI, LGI, CPR and First Aid certified. Additional requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the rules and regulations of NCAA Division III swimming and diving
- Ability to identify and attract outstanding students to the college, problem solving, planning, analytical, organizational, leadership, and written & oral communication skills.
- Clear understanding of the Division III philosophy and the role of physical education and athletics within a private, liberal arts academic setting
Appointment: Full-time. 12-month Administrative Position.
Compensation: Competitive salary and commensurate with the expectations of the position and the qualifications and experience of the applicant. Benefit package includes a tuition remission program for the employee and his/her dependents.
