Athletic Recruiter

Alma College is seeking applications for the position of Athletic Recruiter. This position reports to the Director of Admissions and works closely to develop processes and systems to align admission and athletic recruitment activities. The individual will identify athletic recruits, interact with those recruits, and maintain all reports and communications for incoming students with athletic interests. This individual will help insure consistency in recruitment across athletic programs and coordinate the entry of all information into admissions systems and serve as a liaison for the departments. The individual hired will join a successful Admissions team which just recruited the largest class in the history of the college.

Duties and Responsibilities

Recruiting students with an interest in athletics, and helping them discover the varsity, JV and intramural sports opportunities at Alma College; record all student communications, help coordinate campus contacts/visits, and work with closely with coaches and the regional admissions representatives to provide information on all athletic opportunities to incoming students. Work will also included targeted telecounseling, participation in all admissions events, and coordination of game day visits.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree required
  2. Strong communication skills (interpersonal and written)
  3. Strong organizational skills
  4. Experience in athletics
  5. Self-motivation
