Interim Director of Spiritual Life and Chaplain

Alma College seeks applications for the Interim Director of Spiritual Life and Chaplain.

This position will be responsible for the spiritual nurture and growth of students and the maintenance of a dynamic religious life environment on campus that includes worship, study, service, and other activities that honor the rich diversity of faith perspectives within the College community.

Major tasks include worship leadership and planning, supervision of Student Ministry Coordinators, facilitation of alternative break service trips and collaborative projects with campus departments. The position also will assist other staff in strengthening the relationship between the College and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as well as other religious groups and organizations.

This is a full-time 10 month position beginning August 2007.

Desired qualifications: Master of Divinity degree and ordination preferred.

A Truman Scholarship finalist and Center for Responsible Leadership Fellow, Drew has traveled to South Africa and China studying the HIV/AIDS crisis. The Bay City native intends to use his French minor and POE in International Health to improve AIDS care in Africa, hopefully as a physician with a global public health organization.
