Director of Transitions (Academic Support and Career Services)

Alma College seeks applicants for the Director of Transitions Office, providing academic support and career services.  The position would provide administrative oversight for the office, including planning, budgeting, staff supervision, and outcomes assessment.  This position also provides or coordinates support services for students with special needs and those on academic jeopardy or probation, and coordinates with other academic units on first year programming. 

Required qualifications: Masters degree or higher; experience in academic support or career counseling in higher education; administrative experience; and excellent oral and written communication skills.

The Alma College Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team claimed its eighth consecutive regional championship at the SIFE USA Regional Competition in March 2008. The competition awards the SIFE teams that are most effective in teaching the principals of market economics through outreach projects in their communities.
