Athletic Trainer and Lab Instructor

This full-time, 12-month administrative position includes half-time responsibilities as an Athletic Trainer and half-time responsibilities as a Lab Instructor. 

Athletic Training duties include coverage for men's basketball, women's softball, and assistance with fall sports; aiding in prevention, management, evaluation and rehabilitation of athletic injuries; assisting with game preparation and coverage of athletes; practicing skill competencies with current Athletic Training students; preforming the duties of an Approved Clinical Instructor (ACI) to supervise and complete competence assessments of Athletic Training students.

EHS Lab Instructor duties include setting up assigned laboratories on a weekly basis; attending and assisting in Human Physiology and Exercise Physiology laboratories; ordering supplies and equipment for the department; maintaining departmental equipment; assisting with maintenance of department computers and other informational technology; teaching one section of EHS Human Physiology Lab, two sections of First Aid/CPR, and two sections of Athletic Training Clincals.

Qualifications: A bachelors degree in Exercise and Health Science or a related field required; a masters degree is preferred; NATABOC certification with one year experience; experience in supervision of athletic training students; computer expertise in Word, Excel and Power Point; experience/knowledge of repair and maintenance of laboratory equipment; able to respond creatively to laboratory needs and to interact effectively with students, faculty and staff; excellent organizational skills.
