Human Resources and Conferences Office Associate
Applications are now being accepted for an office associate in the Human Resources and Conferences Office. The work schedule for the office associate position is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Examples of duties include, but are not limited to, answering questions regarding benefit plans and some Alma College policies, maintaining databases for all employees and retirees, preparing monthly census information, calculating employee charges for benefit plans, generating reports, compiling correspondence regarding personnel matters, coordinating conference arrangements, preparing conference contracts, resolving minor problems and conflicts in conference arrangements, billing and meals, and assisting with training and instructing of student employees.
Required qualifications include: ability to use computer software for word processing and creating spreadsheets, excellent interpersonal, math, bookkeeping, and problem solving skills, ability to make decisions, and confidentiality. Desirable qualifications include: general knowledge of employment and benefit laws, experience in a Human Resources and/or Conferences Office, and ability to use Word and Excel software.
The pay range is $9.88 to $12.96 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications.
