Temporary General Maintenance Worker

Applications are now being accepted for a temporary general maintenance worker.

The temporary general maintenance worker is scheduled to work from May 30 to Sept. 1, 2006.

The general maintenance worker performs semi/non-skilled work in the operation, maintenance, modification, service and repair of mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and plumbing systems, general carpentry and painting. You must be a high school graduate or equivalent, able to interpret basic blueprints and schematics, have at least three years of successful experience in general maintenance and be able to lift and transport materials of up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis, and up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis.

Depending upon experience and other qualifications the pay range is $9.50 to $10.50 per hour.

The Bay City native intends to use his French minor and POE in International Health to improve AIDS care in Africa, hopefully as a physician with a global public health organization.
