Assistant Professor - Designer/Technical Director

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Alma College seeks a teacher/scenery and lighting designer/technical director to fill a one-year faculty position beginning August 15, 2006.  Appointment as a tenure-track Assistant Professor is possible, contingent upon administrative approval.

Candidates must demonstrate strong scene design and technical abilities as well as proven skills in lighting.  Production responsibilities include designing scenery and lights for theatre productions, supervising student designers, and supervising the scene shop.  Teaching responsibilities include production-related lab courses and design courses.  Minimum qualifications are an MFA in design/technology with professional and/or academic experience.
