Position Openings

Assistant Professor of Modern Language - German

Full-time, one-year Assistant Professor position in German Language and Culture with the possible creation of a tenure-track position thereafter.  Preference will be given to qualified candidates who complete a Ph.D. by June 2006, who can demonstrate prior teaching experience - especially superior teaching that motivates and engages students - and who have demonstrated evidence of scholarly potential.  Candidates must be committed to undergraduate liberal arts education, to a scholarly agenda, and to institutional service.

Alma students can explore the environmental wonders of the Galapagos Islands, practice Spanish language skills, study Ecuadorian culture, complete coursework in business finance, and fulfill a South American internship in entrepreneurship through Alma College’s one-of-a-kind partnership with Equatorialis University in Quito, Ecuador.
