Graphic Designer (part-time, 20 hours per week)
JOB FUNCTION
Responsible for the design of college publications.
REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce content, edit and design brochures, programs, posters, flyers, pamphlets, advertisements, and other printed materials that promote the college to specific audiences.
- Meet with campus clients to determine goals, audience, content and timelines for requested college publications.
- Compile information as necessary for the design and production of publications.
- Utilize graphic design and word processing software to create or revise publications.
- Adhere to college style guide and maintain a consistent design that fits the overall Alma College look and feel.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in Macintosh operating system and Adobe software, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Proven, strong graphic design skills, and ability to edit and design with exceptional accuracy and professional quality.
- Minimum two years professional graphic design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to be receptive to constructive criticism and make revisions as necessary.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and make judgments about work priorities.
- Web and multimedia skills desired.
