Technical Director and Coordinator of the Oscar E. Remick Heritage Center for the Performing Arts

Alma College invites applications for the position of Technical Director and Coordinator of the Heritage Center for the Performing Arts.  This full-time position will begin on August 15, 2005.

Reporting to the Associate Provost, the Technical Director/Coordinator has primary responsibility for scheduling space for performances and staffing events, including coordinating and implementing all technical arrangements and design needs associated with events and performances held in the 500-seat Presbyterian Hall.  Additionally, the Technical Director/Coordinator manages maintenance and repair activities, monitors the Heritage Center budget, supervises building staff, and trains and supervises student workers and community volunteers.

The Director must be an individual with significant experience in the field of theatre technology and design, especially lighting, sound reinforcement and recording.  A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.  Management experience in a college or university is desirable.
