Educational Podcasting

Podcasting is the name that has been given to episodic video and audio "shows" that are uploaded to the web for free subscription.  Podcasts allow anyone with a computer to subscribe to audio and video material online.  There is great potential for use of podcasting in educational courses as a means of supplementing classroom information.  This tutorial discusses Podcasting and its potential uses in Education while giving easy to follow instructions on creating and uploading a podcast using Apple's iLife '06 software package.

Alma’s close faculty-student interaction provides numerous benefits such as the ability to do undergraduate research on a graduate level. Alma’s professors treat students more as peers welcoming student input and collaboration on faculty projects. When students are involved in research, faculty aggressively pursue publication of findings including students as co-authors.
