WYSIWYG Editor Buttons

The Print Icon Print
Prints the content of the WYSIWYG Editor
The Find/Replace Icon Find/Replace
Opens a dialog box which can find text within your content and (optionally) replace it with different text.
The Paste from Word Icon Paste from Word
Preserves the formatting (bold, italics, headers, lists, etc. of content pasted from a word document.
Not tested
The Undo Icon Undo
Undoes the previous action
This button undoes typing, copying and pasting. It will not, however remove an inserted table or image.
The Redo Icon Redo
Redoes an action previously undone
The Insert Table Icon Insert Table
Opens a dialog box which will allow you to insert a table into a page. See the section on tables for more information.
The Table/Row/Cell Properties Icon Table/Row/Cell Properties
Adjusts properties of the selected table, row or cell. Adjust the respective properties by selecting the appropriate table in the pop-up window. See the section on tables for more information.

Inserts a row into the selected table
The Delete Row Icon Delete Row
Removes a row from a table
The Insert Column Icon Insert Column
Inserts a column into the selected table
The Delete Column Icon Delete Column
Deletes a column from the selected table
The Merge Cells Icon Merge Cells
Merges two cells into one.
The Unmerge cells Icon Unmerge cells
creates two cells from one.
The Insert/Edit an image Icon Insert/Edit an image
Inserts an image. See the section on images for more information.
Be sure to add a descriptive title to the image so it is accessible to web browsers which do not display images.
This icon sets an image height by default; leave the width and height fields blank in order to not set a width or height.
The Horizontal Rule Icon Horizontal Rule
Adds horizontal bar (<hr />) into the page.
The Hyperlink Icon Hyperlink
Adds link to a page. See the section on links for more information.
In order to editing an existing hyperlink you must select the exact text of that link. This is sometimes impossible due to hidden mark-up on the  page (it is not an error). Simply re-enter the hyperlink.
The Document Icon Document
Links to a document within your repository. See the section on links for more information.
Automatically sets the link to open in a new window.
The Anchor Icon Anchor
Creates a bookmark or named anchor (<a name="name"></a>). See the section on links for more information.
This button replaces any selected text with a bookmark.
The Special CharacterIcon Special Character
Inserts a special charater into the page.
Warning: Some characters may be modified or lost when switching between Design and html Code views.

Change the format (paragraph, section header, preformatted or address) of a selection
Note: this is for semantic (readable) mark-up. Header formats should be not be used simply to increase text size.

Add a site-specific style to the selection

Gives emphasis, strong emphasis, or underline to text on a page.
Avoid underlines whenever possible.

Sets a paragraph's alignment.
The Numbering Icon Numbering
Creates an ordered list.
The Bullets Icon Bullets
Creates an unordered list.
The Increase Indent IconThe Decrease Indent Icon Increase/Decrease Indent
Indicates a block quote or a nested list.
Indents of text denote long quotes: they should not be used for layout.

 

In the more than 100 years since its founding, Alma has stayed true to its roots by keeping its Scottish heritage alive. Today, Alma features a marching band clad in Kilts, a Scottish dance troupe, student pipers and its own tartan. Each year, the College hosts the Alma Highland Festival and Games, which feature traditional Scottish games and revelry.
