Located less than a few blocks from campus, downtown Alma holds numerous employment possibilities for students. You will find many insurance companies, banks, retail employers and restaurants. Other areas around Alma are easily accessible by car or bike.

If you are looking for competitive pay rates, the chance to develop business contacts, or to get "real-world" experience, you may want to pursue an off-campus position.

The Alma College Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team claimed its ninth consecutive regional championship at the SIFE USA Regional Competition in March 2009. The competition awards the SIFE teams that are most effective in teaching the principals of market economics through outreach projects in their communities.
