On Campus Student Employment Opportunities

You can now apply for on campus jobs online. Click Here

Working on campus is a great option because college employers are often more flexible about scheduling your work hours around your class schedule, and transportation and travel time are seldom a problem.

Alma College departments employ students in all sorts of jobs. Students work as intramural sports referees; library assistants, aerobics monitors; and in clerical positions all over campus including the Admissions Office and Advancement Office.

The Student Financial Assistance Office also maintains a job board outside the office located in the lower level of the Library. Please check back regularly for an up to date listing of all jobs available on campus.

Following is a list of departments on campus that have hired students in the past and should be contacted if you are interested and see if they have openings. The number is (989)463- last 4 digits listed below...

Spring Term at Alma is a one-month immersion on a single academic topic that offers learning experiences not typically available during the more traditional 15-week fall and winter terms. For example, during Spring Term '09, students toured cultural sites in Peru, studied alternative energy in Sweden, analyzed theatre and dance in London, and examined Native American culture at the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota.

Spring Term courses offer students opportunities to break out of the “Alma Bubble.” Off-campus study, especially in a foreign country, shows you how you relate to the rest of the world and how the rest of the world views American people, politics and policies. You can then integrate your real world experiences into your academic programs and your future career.
