The Facility

Dunning Memorial Chapel seats 350 people in the nave. The center aisle is 50 feet long and there are 16 rows of pews on either side of the aisle. A ramp is provided on the west side of the building. Restrooms and dressing rooms are located on the lower level, which is accessible by stairs only. The building is not air conditioned but does have ceiling fans. Alcohol and smoking are prohibited in the Chapel.

Reserving the Chapel

All arrangements for reserving the chapel for weddings are made through Conference Services. These arrangements include checking dates, making special arrangements and paying fees.

Weddings in the Chapel are often scheduled 12 months in advance. To see what dates are available please contact Nichole Peak by phone (989) 463-7066 or e-mail peaknl@alma.edu.

Tirrea Billings

Tirrea Billings
Graduation: 2016
Major: Environmental Science

Saginaw freshman Tirrea Billings has been cheerleading since eighth grade, but her skills have grown by leaps and bounds since joining Alma’s new competitive cheer team.

“Cheer at Alma takes a lot of concentration and dedication, but it’s worth it,” she says. “As a team, we push and encourage each other to do the best that we can, and I’ve already done stunts and mounts I never thought I could do. It’s an amazing feeling to look back and see how far I’ve come in such a short time.”
