Small School, Big Opportunities

At Alma, you are part of a community with a chance to leave your mark. Whether it's sports, research, the performing arts, community service, faith-based fellowship, honor societies, leadership development, Greek life or one of nearly 100 campus organizations, you will be remembered for the things that you do at Alma. There seems to be an organization for every interest at Alma, and the list is always growing! International study abroad programs, alternative break trips, Model United Nations competitions, the campus radio station, the student newspaper, Students Offering Service (SOS), rock climbing, intramural sports, student government, the Black Student Union — the list goes on and on. Off-campus service opportunities also are plentiful — note that Alma College is featured in the book "Colleges With a Conscience: 81 Great Schools with Outstanding Community Involvement." At Alma there's no excuse not to get involved!

More than a third of all Alma students take part in at least one performance each year. The College offers majors in theatre, dance and music, but students of all majors may join in productions. The Remick Heritage Center for the Performing Arts is the region’s premiere performing arts facility.
